According to the tradition the 1st graders’ “acquaintance” with the alphabet was celebrated in Oshakan. The students’ entrance into the dreamlike world of the alphabet with blessed letters is of great significance.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the ceremony of putting flowers on Mesrop Mashtots’s tomb. The children expressed their thankfulness to the great teacher for giving them the right to be called Armenians. The little Lyceum students promised to write beautifully, to speak Armenian without torturing the language.
We congratulate our students on such a holiday. We wish they all walk the path of light, feel the great pleasure of being literate and enjoy every page of a book.
