The primary school students learned about the Feast of the Holy Translators dedicated to the creation of the Armenian alphabet, the translation movement and the prominent cultural figures. The librarian, Mrs. Siranush, had arranged an event with the learners’ participation.
The students got interesting information on the holiday, listened to a nice song dedicated to the Armenian alphabet, as well as the “Saint Translators” in their friends’ performance.
The priest of St. Sargis Church, Ter-Karapet, informed the learners more thoroughly on the holiday. He also gave the little Lyceum students very useful advice, taught them to cross themselves properly, encouraged to be friendly and always lend a helping hand to those who need it.
The Feast of the Holy Translators, one of the Armenian national-religious holidays, is celebrated on Saturday following the fourth Sunday of the Feast of the Cross.
