The IB Diploma Program coordinator Anna Stepanyan had a meeting with the Middle school students, introduced the idea, structure and advantages of DP and answered the students’ questions. It became apparent that the 8-9th grade students already had some idea about the program from the question-answer process at the beginning, and they listened to the details introduced by Mrs. Anna with great interest.

The latter said that the IB had started with the Diploma Program, and it had the recognition and admission in the best universities of the world. About 2700 universities around the world trust the IB DP results so much that they give its graduates an opportunity to get their higher education without entrance examinations. The DP coordinator introduced the subject groups taught in English in frames of the program, as well as the requirements of the program, the necessary skills and knowledge. Mrs. Anna compared the Diploma program with the Armenian apricot, the main advantages of the DP as its nucleus-basis. The program develops the students’ critical and analytical thinking, ability to implement independent research work and write about them, motivates creativity, public activity.
The students had various questions on the taught subjects, textbooks, list of universities admitting DP, evaluation procedure, program deadlines and other details. They were all given full answers.
