The IB MYP coordinator Mane Gevorgyan and the Round Square representative Satine Gharakeshishyan initiated a meeting on the topic “Organizing and implementing community projects” for 8-9th grade Lyceum students. The community project implementation aimed at deepening the knowledge and developing the skills necessary for responsible public participation.
The IB MYP coordinator Mane Gevorgyan told us that one of the MYP requirements was the implementation of community projects, which was compulsory for the 9th grade students, and advisable for the 8th graders. During the meeting all the requirements for the community project implementation, as well as the assessment criteria of the results were discussed.
The project aims to develop the students’ knowledge and their abilities, as well as to deepen the understanding of collaborative work for developing and making the community and the environment better.
This meeting was the launch of the community projects in the Lyceum. Its results will be summarized in April.
