Group 882 students visited the great Armenian writer Avetik Isahakyan’s house-museum, where he had spent the last 15 years of his life. The group counselor-pedagogue Gayane Petrosyan and Armenian Language and Literature teacher Ani Makinyan accompanied the students.
We were all especially impressed by the fact that there were a lot of books in different languages carefully arranged by bookcases. Perhaps Avetik Isahakyan had read all those books, as he mastered several foreign languages.
We saw Isahakyan’s bedroom, where he died. We saw his mother’s photo on his bedside wall. The writer always took the photo with him when he was travelling, as he loved his mother greatly. We also saw the poet’s study, where he spent most of the day.
Coming out of the back door we found ourselves in a nice garden. The master liked to have a rest under the shade of the luxuriant trees of his garden.
We came back full of mysterious feelings and very impressed by the visit.
