Admissions to the Middle School

Considering that the Open Doors Day for the Middle School will take place on May 30, the submission period for Middle School admission applications and required documents will be extended until June 1, inclusive.

to aquire essential abilities and skills in addition to academic knowledge,
to develop into a true intellectual and responsible citizen,

then we invite you to apply to the only educational institution in the Republic of Armenia accredited for all three levels of the International Baccalaureate primary, middle and high school programs. “Shirakatsy Lyceum” International Scientific-Educational Complex Closed Joint-Stock Company with state participation (hereinafter referred to as the Lyceum).

Education in all divisions of the Lyceum is provided on a paid basis, except for a set number of places in grades 5–12 that are partially subsidized by the state (hereinafter referred to as state co-financing). Only citizens of the Republic of Armenia and dual citizens are eligible to participate in the competition for state co-financed places.
The educational process is organized on a full-day or extended-day schedule. Students are provided with meals wirth in accordance with the approved menu. Transportation for all students is arranged by the Lyceum using special means of transport.

Admission to the Lyceum for the 2026–2027 academic year is carried out for the middle school

for state co-financed places in grades 8 and 10,
for paid places in grades 5, 8, and 10.

Attention: As of May 5, 2026, the available vacancies by grade are as follows: 5th grade: 33 paid places, 8th grade: 30 state co-funded places, 10th grade: 5 state co-funded places and 5 paid places in the physics and mathematics (4 vacant places) and economics (6 vacant places) streams.

Admission applications and documents are accepted from May 5 to June 1 inclusive in the online application registration system*. Entrance exams are organized from June 10 to 30.

If you do not receive a reply email, please contact the phone numbers provided.

Since 1990, the Lyceum has been implementing the original educational program "Identifying Gifted Children, Organizing Their Education, and Researching Giftedness Issues" (approved by the RA Government). In 2014, the mentioned program was expanded and re-approved by the RA Ministry of Education and Science, is continuously modernized, and currently fully integrates the requirements of the RA State Standard and the IB corresponding age programs.

Since 2010, the Lyceum has been a full member of the Round Square International Schools Association. Since 2008, the Lyceum has been a full member of the CIS Association of International Baccalaureate Schools.

In 2010, the Lyceum was recognized by the Microsoft World Office as one of the 56 leading innovative schools in the world.

In 2013, the Lyceum’s primary school, and in 2014, the middle and high schools were accredited by the International Baccalaureate World Office.

Since 2014, by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, it has been authorized to implement the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) in English in grades 11-12.

Since 2022, the Lyceum has been a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Note: In case of absence from any exam due to illness, a medical certificate must be submitted before the end of the exam. If the certificate is available, the decision on permission to retake the exam is made by the admissions committee, and in the absence of a certificate, retaking is not provided.
