Open Olympiad
The "Shirakatsy Lyceum" International Scientific-Educational Complex has been holding the National Open Olympiad for 4-8 grades in all general education subjects since 2006 within the framework of the Republican educational program "Discovering gifted children, organizing their education and researching the problems of giftedness".
By expanding the Olympiad's geographical reach annually, our objective is to involve students from various regions, fostering their participation in the Olympic movement and showcasing their educational skills and opportunities. In 2022, besides Yerevan, Olympiads took place in Artsakh and Syunik (Goris, Meghri). In 2023, the expansion continued to include Artsakh, Syunik (Goris, Kapan, Meghri), Gegharkunik (Martuni, Gavar), and Tavush (Ijevan).
Olympiads are organized in the following subjects: Armenian language, Russian language and English, mathematics, science and history.
The results of the Olympiad are summarized in 2 ways: according to the subject results and according to the total points of all subjects. Honors, special scholarships and other awards are planned for the Olympiad participants.
