''Artsakh Shirakatsy Lyceum'' Charitable Foundation
The continuation of the Lyceum's Artsakh history after the Azerbaijani attack and the forced exodus of Armenians from Artsakh in September 2023, ensuring the continuity of education for students of the "Shirakatsy Lyceum" Scientific-Educational Complex in Artsakh became a top priority at the Lyceum.

Since November, 142 students studying in grades 5 to 12 of the Artsakh Lyceum established in Yerevan and nearby settlements have been included in the Lyceum's staff on a free basis, equally benefiting from all the educational and support services offered, including round-trip transportation, three meals a day, psychological and medical care, etc.

The free enrollment of students forcibly displaced from Artsakh at Shirakatsy Lyceum resulted in significant additional financial expenses, which the Lyceum covered from its own funds by reducing investments planned for the following academic year. Such an approach would not be possible for the subsequent academic years, taking into account the Lyceum’s commitments undertaken before its international partners for development purposes.

In order to attract alternative financial resources, the “Artsakh Shirakatsy Lyceum” Charitable Foundation was established in December 2023.
Starting from the 2024–2025 academic year, families of students forcibly displaced from Artsakh were offered a special tuition fee in the amount of 700,000, AMD which will remain in effect throughout the students’ entire course of study. This tuition fee is significantly lower than the standard tuition rates approved under the Lyceum’s regular pricing policy and covers exclusively the cost-price expenses of organizing the education process.

Despite the established preferential tuition fee, the amount remains unaffordable for the majority of families. Based on this reality, the “Artsakh Shirakatsy Lyceum” Charitable Foundation initiates and implements various charitable programs and events aimed at providing maximum possible support to families and, through incentive-based scholarships, ensuring the children’s continuous and high-quality education within the Lyceum community.
At the same time, the need to secure the necessary financial resources remains constant throughout each academic year, as ensuring the continuity of scholarship programs requires consistent and long-term financial engagement.

Therefore, the foundation is equally open to long-term cooperation with both individual benefactors and partner organizations.

In the current 2025-2026 academic year, 89 students from grades 7 to 12 of the Artsakh “Shirakatsy Lyceum” continue their studies at the Lyceum. The following scale of scholarship distribution has been proposed for the latter.
