The Lyceum has been granted the status of a state closed joint-stock company.

• The 1997-1998 National Chemistry Olympiad is organized and held at the Lyceum.
• The 1997-1998 National Biology Olympiad is organized and held at the Lyceum.

• The theater studio of the Lyceum presents the regular premiere of Anton Chekhov's "The Bear" (director: Garik Ghazaryan).
• The "Last Bell" ceremony of the sixth graduates of the Lyceum takes place in the Lyceum hall.

• Arman Melkumyan achieves the status of gold medalist at the Lyceum for the academic year 1997-1998.
• Prom of the 6th graduates of the Lyceum.

The Middle School of the Lyceum is founded.

• Smbat Gogyan becomes the silver medalist of the World Mathematics Olympiad.
• The first grade of the Primary school is organized as the basis of the Primary school under the leadership of its first teacher (and later the first director of the Primary school) Tatevik Vatyan.

By the decision of Nor Nork district head Mkrtich Minasyan, the building of the liquidated kindergarten No.18 is dedicated to the Lyceum in order to create the Primary School.
