  • January
    • Hripsime Hakobyan, a graduate of the Diploma Program, is admitted to the University of Chicago in the USA with a 100% scholarship. Hripsime is already the third Lyceum student to continue his studies at the 9th best university in the world.
    • Rector of the National Agrarian University of Armenia V. Urutyan's invitation, Tamar Aleksanyan, the head of the scientific methodical center of the Lyceum, and Ani Harutyunyan, the head of the psychological center, are conducting a two-day seminar on "Learner-centered learning" for the professors of the Armenian and foreign languages department at the "Zartonk" holiday home in Aghavnadzor.
    • Ahead of the Army Day, 50 middle school students, accompanied by pedagogues and Lyceum military science teacher Hrant Aghabekyan, visit the military unit, taking with them letters and books written by Primary and Middle school students, as well as giving a concert for the soldiers.
    • Representatives of the Moscow Higher School of Economics visit the Lyceum. They conduct seminars for high school students, meet with Lyceum teachers.
    • On the initiative of the Armenian language and literature club (head M.Sc., associate professor Tamar Aleksanyan) in the library of the Lyceum, two groups of the 8th grade discuss William Saroyan's novel "Father, you are crazy".

  • February
    • The delegation of the Lyceum, the director of the high school, the deputy director of international affairs of the educational complex, Tatevik Nalbandian, and the coordinator of the RS, Ilona Hovasapyan, are going to the city of Nainital, India, to take part in the South Asia and Gulf regional conference of the "Round Square" World Association of International Schools (AGM) at the local All Saints' College. of South Asia & Gulf Region - 2019).
    • With the support and mediation of the RA Embassy in India, Ilona Hovasapyan and Tatevik Nalbandian visit Springdales School in New Delhi to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the educational complex and this school. Mr. Gevorg Hakhverdyan, Consul of RA Embassy in India, was present at the meeting. During the meeting, opportunities for exchange programs, joint summer trips, painting competitions, exchange of experience in STEM direction, cooperation of subject teachers and realization of students' projects are discussed.
    • Lyceum students Artur Artashesyan (11th grade) and Inga Grigoryan (2nd year of Diploma program) accompanied by computer science teacher Ashkhen Sargsyan participate in the "Have Your Say" international conference dedicated to Safe Internet Day in Milan. Among the 16 topics included in the event started at the Microsoft house in Milan, our students present the topic of online safety and become a member of the "European Council for Digital Good" team, they will support their peers to use the Internet more effectively, not to become its captive or victim.
    • A lecture-conversation for the teachers of native and foreign languages of the Lyceum is conducted by the professor of the Russian State Humanities University, literary critic Sergey Lavlinsky.
    • On the initiative of graduate Vlad Hakobyan, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University delegation visits the Lyceum to present the opportunities to study at the university and provide scholarships.
    • On the initiative of the students of the high school and within the framework of the individual project of the 10th grade, the Lyceum hosts the Armenian jazz musician Martin Vardazaryan.
    • Graduates of the Lyceum and now YSU students Hovhannes Adonts and Adana Armond-Massini Keshishyan are recognized as the "Best Student" (1st place) of the year in the field of Natural Sciences and receive a special monetary award and certificate from the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
    • In the Russian Federation, the students of the Primary School won the drawing competition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the International Baccalaureate Foundation on the theme "Я граджина мира"; Garik Avetisyan, Victoria Adilkhanyan, Eya Arzumanyan, Mane Vantsyan, Vera Yeganyan, Yeva Yesayan, Natali Zohrabyan, Georgi Minasyan, Ani Muradyan, Hripsime Shamirzanyan.
    • On the initiative of the department of Armenian language and literature (head: Ph.D. Ani Makinyan), classes dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan are held in the educational complex, students and teaching staff present books to each other.
    • Serob Khachatryan, professor of philosophy of YSU, recognized expert of education in RA, gives a lecture on "How do children learn" for the teachers of the educational complex.
    • Dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan, the theater studio of the Lyceum stages the fairy tale "Barezdin" (director: Garik Ghazaryan).
  • March
    • "Shirakatsy Lyceum Development Fund" is organizing a Carnival dinner at the Armenia-Marriott Hotel.
    • With the invitation and funds of the UN Office in Armenia, the first-year student of the National Academy of Sciences, Yana Zakharyants, is participating in the youth forum organized by the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime, which runs parallel to the work of the 62nd session of the Commission of the Ministers of Governments of different countries on the fight against drugs and crimes.
    • Anik Gulen, Canada's temporary trustee in Armenia (residence: Moscow) is visiting the Lyceum. Mrs. Gule was particularly interested in the specifics of the implementation of the educational requirements and principles of the International Baccalaureate in the educational complex.
    • A part of the teaching staff of the Lyceum organizes and conducts seminars and discussions abroad in Tsaghkadzor. Education expert Serob Khachatryan and Gohar Mamikonyan, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Armenia, also participate in the external activities.
    • The pantomime troupe of the Lyceum is going to Goris to participate in the National Theater Festival of Young Francophones: 10 SUR 10, pièces francophones à jouer et à lire. In the local drama theater named after Vagharsh Vagharshyan, Lyceum students present the pantomime "Rituel" by Simon Terry (artistic director: Ilona Hovasapyan, sound operator: Arpine Arakelyan), for which they receive awards. Within the framework of the festival, master classes, cultural visits, a photo contest on the theme "Company" are organized, where the photo of Lyceum students is recognized as the winner.

    • Primary school student pianist Alex Gevorgyan takes part in the 10th International Music Competition-Festival and wins the first place.
    • The Lyceum and "Youth is power" NGO organize a one-day course on social entrepreneurship for 11-12th graders.
    • During the opening ceremony of the 19th annual congress of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE - Union of Advanced Technology Enterprise), the pantomime troupe of the Lyceum performed (director: Ilona Hovasapyan).
    • The exhibition of individual projects of 10th graders takes place in solemn conditions.
    • A general meeting of the educational staff of the educational complex is held, the results of the field work are summarized. Gohar Mamikonyan, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Armenia, is participating in the meeting.
    • Middle school groups 814, 815, 816 visit the "Orran" daycare center with a game and concert program. The students of the Lyceum present to the people of Orran the necessary materials for making mandalas, sweets, as well as the money acquired through their own charity, in order to obtain the necessary materials for the extracurricular groups of the "Orran" center.
    • An exhibition about the research and extracurricular projects of the students of the IB Diploma Program graduation group is starting in the Lyceum library.
    • The 13th annual conference of member schools of the International Baccalaureate of the CIS countries is taking place in Kaliningrad (Russia) under the title "Culture and technologies as the driving force of the 21st century", in which the delegation of the Lyceum, represented by the director of the educational complex Ashot Alikhanyan, deputy director for international affairs Tatevik Nalbandian, and speech therapists Zhanna Pailozyan (M.Sc.) and Emilia Tadevosyan (M.Sc.) is taking part. Speech therapists share their experience with conference participants.
    • The results of the republican round of subject olympiads are summarized.     • High school students meet with the University of Oxford's admissions officer, who explains the university's opportunities and admissions requirements.

    • Students of the Diploma Program organize a tour for 16 tourists from the USA who are interested in Armenian education and educational institutions.
    • On the occasion of the International Dance Day, the students of the dance studio of the Lyceum perform on the stage of the Yerevan Youth Audience Theater, the director Christine Hovhannisyan receives a certificate of appreciation.
  • May
    • Primary school student pianist Alex Gevorgyan participates in the "Renaissance" music competition-festival and wins the "Grand Prix" award.
    • Students of the 4th grade of the Primary high school who are interested in medical and health topics meet with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan.
    • Educational complex students take part in the traditional sports event held at QSI school, winning 50 medals and taking the honorable 2nd place.
    • Within the framework of the "Bright Border" program, 4 high school students, led by the National Program coordinator Ani Papoyan, visit the villages of Berdavan and Koti, Tavush Province, RA.
    • The fourth-graders of the Primary school of the educational complex present their research work on the topic "Who are we" to the teaching staff and the parent community under solemn conditions.
    • On the initiative of the Russian language teachers, the students and teachers celebrate the May victories in a solemn procession in the courtyard of the Lyceum, then they meet the three heroes of the April freedom struggle in the ceremony hall.

    • On the initiative of the Lyceum, "International Baccalaureate Days" are organized in Armenia with the participation of International Baccalaureate program leaders Vedrana Pavletich and John Halligan. The purpose of the visit is the presentation of the IB program and the discussion of the process of recognition of the graduation certificate of the Diploma program by Armenian universities.
    • The high school students of the Lyceum devoted to the creation of Mendeleev's periodic system at the initiative of the Natural Science Department (Ani Atyan, Alvard Abrahamyan 10th grade: Vahagn Tsirunyan-12th grade.) present their research works.     • The Lyceum delegation (English teacher Emma Revazyan and 10 students: Lilit Krmoyan, Anna Sahakyan, Sona Grigoryan, Ariana Grigoryan, Samvel Antonyan, Natalie Danielyan, Vahan Manisachyan, Leo Avayan, Natalie Sardaryan, Mark Nazinyan) is going to Samworth Church Academy school in Mansfield, Great Britain to participate in the "Round Square" world conference on the theme "Toward Adventures" (for middle school students aged 11-13) (Young RS Conference-2019).
    • Tamara Gziryan, teacher of the Russian language of the Lyceum, as a representative of Russian language teachers of RA, participates in the international festival "Великое русское слово" in Yalta.
    • The results of subject olympiads are summarized in YSU's big hall. The students of Shirakatsy Lyceum register the following successes.     • Training courses for teachers teaching 5-6 grades of other educational institutions are starting in the Lyceum. Psychologists, teachers of native, foreign languages, mathematics, and history of the Lyceum conduct lectures and classes with interactive methods, active learning principle, in accordance with the modern requirements of education, demonstrating the advanced and modern experience of the educational complex.
    • In the conference hall of the Lyceum, the results of the annual subject open Olympiad organized for 5-7th graders are summarized.
    • Hayk Nalchajyan, a student of the 11th grade of the Lyceum, wins the competition of the program established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany to promote the teaching of German and to encourage students with high German language skills, and goes to Germany for a month (teacher: Lilya Ghazaryan).
    • Students of the "Experimental Sciences" subject group of the diploma program are doing research work (GROUP 4 PROJECT) in the vicinity of Mount Aragats, studying the features of the high terrain and their impact on the human body. They visit A.I. Aragats Cosmic Ray Station of Alikhanyan National Scientific Laboratory.
    • Pianist Alex Gevorgyan, student of the Lyceum, participates in the international music competition-festival in Castelnuovo del Garfaniana, Italy, and receives the "Most Promising Talent" award.
    • The results of the seminars conducted for teachers teaching in 5-6 grades of public schools on Fridays in June are summarized.     • The teacher-pedagogical staff of the Lyceum concludes the school year at the "Nairi" rest house in Tsaghkadzor. All structures and classrooms of the educational complex make public reports.
    • Students in the diploma program receive external assessment results from the IB office.
    • In the hall of the Lyceum, the 26th graduates receive their graduation certificates.
    • Sofya Aydinyan, a chemistry teacher at the Lyceum, candidate of chemical sciences, receives an Oganesium award on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Mendeleev table in Paris.
    • The "Gavat" pantomime theater of the Lyceum (director: Ilona Hovasapyan) participates in the 23rd International Folk Festival in the city of Batumi, Georgia with the performance "KOMITAS" and takes the first place of honor.
  • August

    During the 7th All-Armenian Games, Olympian athlete and seminary student Suzanna Grigoryan, who was included in the Yerevan national team, won 2 bronze medals in the individual fight and won the 4x50m with the Yerevan girls' team. freestyle, 4*100 m. freestyle relay, 4*100 m. in relay, breaking a new RA record.

  • September
    • The results of the 9th All-Armenian Children's and Youth Drawing Competition-Festival entitled "My Saryan" are summarized. 3 students of the Lyceum Maria Abrahamyan (281), Nare Torosyan (454), Anahit Arakelyan (451) won the competition, and the originals of their works will be shown at the final exhibition in October, and will also find a place in the published souvenirs - in the picture book.
    • In Andorra, the national women's basketball team of Armenia under the age of 18 becomes the champion of the FIBA Europe Division C series. A student of the Lyceum, a graduate of the IB Diploma Program, two-time European champion Tatev Gomtsyan was part of the team and ensured the victory with his important contribution.
    • Sports games are held in the Lyceum.
    • The regional center of continuing education and certification, designed for the training of technical and engineering personnel in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, is officially opened at Shirakatsy Lyceum. The opening of the center was attended by the Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Armenia Erik Grigoryan, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Yastrebov and other high-ranking guests from the Republic of Armenia, CIS countries and Europe.
    • Within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the UN "One Day of Peace" event, Shirakatsy Lyceum is recognized as the winner of the photo contest announced by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The photo is sent to the UN, among the 193 participating countries, Armenia appears through the Lyceum.
    • The students of Shirakatsy Lyceum High School, who are undergoing advanced training in science subjects of author and diploma programs, visit Yerevan State University. As part of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of YSU, as well as on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Physics, in parallel with the seminars conducted by specialists from abroad, everyone interested in science watched various scientific experiments in the pavilions located in the yard of YSU.

    • The Lyceum hosts the students of Australian Golston National Lyceum, who were accompanied by the director and the teacher of Armenian language and literature.
    • Armine Gevorgyan, head of the foreign languages department of the Lyceum, participates in the Qudwa 2019 educational forum held by the Prince of the Arab Emirates as the 2017 edition of the same forum. Winner of the theme of the conference was "Teaching the 4 Global Skills". Armine Gevorgyan gives a report on motivation and is invited to an interview by the local TV station.
    • The delegation of the Lyceum represented by director Ashot Alikhanyan, RS representative Ilona Hovasapyan and 5 students: Narek Marutya (group 1001), Arine Khanlar (group 1001), Mariam Khojoyan (group 1191), Ofelia Stepanyan (group 1282), Arpi Sedrakyan (group 1285) ), is leaving for India to participate in the "Round Square-2019" International Conference (RSIC-2019) at The Emerald Heights International School in Indore.
    • The pedagogical and service staff of the Lyceum are resting and celebrating the Teacher's Day at the "Alpina" hotel in Tsaghkadzor.
    • A sports marathon dedicated to the 2081 anniversary of our capital, Erebuni-Yerevan, is being held with the participation of Primary school students in the area adjacent to the Karen Demirchyan educational complex. The employees of the Lyceum, Tamar Aleksanyan (head of the scientific methodical center) and Lilit Mkrtchyan (head of the department of social sciences), won the competition announced within the framework of the "Improvement of Education" program of the Center for Educational Programs of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia. Tamar Aleksanyan is in charge of the Armenian language and literature, and Lilit Mkrtchyan is in charge of the revision commissions of general education standards and programs of social science subjects.
    • As a graduate of the "Teach Armenia" program, Armine Gevorgyan, head of the Lyceum's foreign languages department, participates in the global workshop of the "Education for All" global network, which was held in Yerevan this year. The topic was "How to prepare students to shape the changing world".
    • As part of the diploma program's "Literature", "Theory of Knowledge", "Patrionic Studies" subjects and CAS extracurricular projects, the students of the 1st and 2nd groups visit Gyumri to get acquainted with the history, architecture and environment of the city, in order to analyze their complex influence on the writer, on the work of Avetik Isahakyan born in Gyumri.
    • During the autumn holidays, on October 28-31, on the initiative of the scientific-methodical and psychological centers, another round of retraining for teachers practicing in the 5th-9th grades of public schools will start at the Lyceum under the motto "Let's learn together, learn from each other".
    • Armine Gevorgyan, head of the Lyceum's foreign languages department, participates in the first educational forum of Artsakh on November 30-1 as a seminar leader and member of the organizing group. The forum was the first of its kind for the Republic of Artsakh, the responsibility of which was assumed by the "Teach Armenia" program.

    • Pianist, songwriter Alex Gevorgyan, a student of the Lyceum, participates in the "Mozart" international competition and takes the 1st place.
    • An international painting competition dedicated to the 220th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin is being held in the city of Perm, Russia. 540 works from 6 countries (Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, Belarus, Abkhazia, Armenia) are submitted to the competition. 59 participants were declared winners, 6 of them are students of Shirakatsy Lyceum; Astghik Badalyan, Nane Melkumyan, Maria Sukiasyan, Mila Sukiasyan, Meline Terteryan, Ani Shahoyan, their leader is art teacher Araksya Ananyan.
    • The Primary school allocates the money obtained from the charity exhibition-sale of last year's students' paintings to Suren Hayrapetyan, one of the participants of the "Art of Blooming" program, and presents him with books on miniature painting, jewelry art, which will help to study the art of miniature painting in more depth.
    • Representatives of the best US universities visit the Lyceum, meet with students and present the educational system of their university.
    • The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Center for Media Initiatives announce the Media Literacy Education Week in all schools of Armenia, in which the Lyceum also actively participates, with the slogan "I am a media literate".
    • Special thematic classes, meetings with representatives of the media sphere, journalists, experts are organized within the scope of social science subjects. Among the guests were Ani Hovhannisyan (journalist of "Hetk"), Levon Azroyan (journalist, former employee of the Lyceum), Satik Seyranyan (president of the Union of Journalists), Lusine Grigoryan (media literacy expert, initiator of the educational week), Samvel Martirosyan (media expert).
    • Within the framework of cooperation between the Lyceum and the Digitain organization, high school students present three projects, the jury chooses only one, the Book board project, to implement with mutual assistance.     • Elmira Harutyunyan, a teacher of Armenian language and literature at Hrazdan primary school No. 8, a participant in the training courses of the Lyceum, conducts a master class on native language in the 6th grade of her school, creatively applying the methods and techniques she learned in the autumn course of the Lyceum.     • A free 3D modeling and multimedia skill development master class is held at Shirakatsy Lyceum from 14-19 for annual students and graduates.
    • As part of the Yerevan Book Day, the presentation of the book of poems "Not About You" by Ruzanna Voskanyan, teacher of Armenian language and literature at the Lyceum, poet, member of the Writers' Union, takes place in the building of the Armenian Benevolent Union. The students of the Lyceum, the students of Ruzanna Voskanyan, participate in the presentation and read their teacher's poems for the audience.
    • In the library of the Lyceum, a lesson dedicated to Tekeyan in Western Armenian is conducted by the teacher of the Lyceum, Ph.D. Artush Mkrtumyan with the participation of his Diaspora Armenian students and 12th grade students. The occasion was Vahan Tekeyan's newly published volume of poems, which was presented by the Tekeyan Center. The author team of the "Success Formula" television program is filming and conducting an interview with Artush Mkrtumyan.
    • At the initiative of Shirakatsy Lyceum Development Fund, students, graduates, teachers and pedagogues meet with Davit Sahakyan, a 2004 graduate of the Lyceum, neurosurgeon, who tells about his life, the difficulties he faced and overcoming them.

    • The department of art (head: Davit Petrosyan) organizes and conducts a series of events and classes dedicated to the 90th anniversary of "Immortalize Myths", sculptor Karlen Nurijanyan. Sports games under the title "Armenian legends" are being organized. With the proceeds from the charity sale and contributions from parents, the Sans bought stationery and candy for the children at the center. A personalized New Year's gift bag was prepared for each. The students of the Lyceum also perform a small concert program.
    • Students of Yerevan Boarding School for Hearing Impaired Children present themselves with a report concert and an exhibition of handicrafts and paintings in the auditorium of the Lyceum. This is one of the expressions of the Lyceum's cooperation with this school.
